Anyone who claims to know me, knows that I am a bit of a perfectionist. I like my house clean and tidy. And, I like everything to be in its place. Of course, if I am hosting Thanksgiving, which I am this year, that brings out my inner Martha Stewart. I plan my menu and my table decor weeks before, and obsess over details in those weeks, as well. I will scrub, dust, polish and organize until I fall into bed at night, exhausted.
Sound crazy? Maybe so. Sometimes I wish I could just be content with ” good enough”. However, It does give me pleasure to sit back in a sparkling clean house. And, I do admire my table and place settings, and I’m truly guilty of taking Instagram pictures of the beautiful pies I’ve baked.
This year, I’m going to try my best to spend an equal amount of time counting my blessings, and being thankful for all the beautiful people and things in my life. Let’s all take a moment to give thanks, and give love and really appreciate those around your table. And, if they appreciate their table setting, that’s a bonus😉
